Lillie: "Look Mama, Canada won."

Mama: "Did they win a teddy bear and a bunny too?

Lillie : "No, only the boys in figure skating win bunnies, the boys in hockey win a gold medal."

... I do have to add that in Lillie's world a bunny probably counts more than a gold medal :)

Today we made a Olympic Hockey Game out of a box and pipe cleaners ... the girls had so much fun playing with it.

Watching Pairs Figure Skating she saw how a spectator threw a bear on the ice after the skate; "Lulu look they are figure skating at the Olympics. If you are really good you win a teddy bear."

Watching Barbie and the three Musketeers; "Meow-Meow is wearing a hat, it's a mudedier hat."

China is marching in. (L) Is Fifi walking in here?

Germany is marching in. (L) Wow they all look like Omi.

(L) When is Virginia coming?

India is marching in; (Papa) They have 1.1 billion people. (L) Wow and they all are in the Olympic games tomorrow?

Ireland is marching in; (Papa) Oh the luck of the Irish. (L) We'll have to see about that.

Canada; (L) Is there a summer in Canada?

Lichtenstein is marching in; (L) This is Ligonstein, this sounds very far.

Morocco is marching in; the flag carrier is giving the peace sign; (L) Why is he counting?

Poland is marching in (Papa) Do you know Great Grandma Agnes is from Poland? (L) Oh is she in the Olympic games ?

Romania is marching in; (L) Mermaidia, is there mermaids in there?

Russia is marching in; (L) Do they rush through the snow?

Turkey is marching in; (L) Do they eat Turkey all day long?

Canada is marching in; (L) Are the hockey guys gonna skate as fast a shooting star?

Watching the performance. A lone Native is walking in. (L) Oh well he is late, they must have forgotten about him.

A canoe is being lowered from the ceiling. (L) Look at this guys, his hair is more crazy than uncle Chris.

(M) So L what is your favorite part of the Olympic Games? (L) Valentines Day and skating because I go skating.

L: Mama is it hard to be a mama?

M: what do you think?

L: yes, because you have to:

-buy food and cook it

- set the table

- feed their childs

- give them medicine when they are sick

- make a bed for visitors and make it their home

- sleep with the visitors (????)

- do arts and crafts with their childs

- fix the lights and

- give hugs and kisses

M: What do you think is the best thing of being a mom?

L: - being with their childs

- plant with them

- playing with them

- picking flowers

- going to the Bouncerama

- the best thing of being a mommy is coloring with your childs

When you watch your girls in the yard, on a sunny day, having fun on the teeter-totter and listen to their little giggles. There is nothing better than having a fun day with these two rascals. I LOVE my girls!!!

when you find your 2 year old eating GoldFish mixed with dry dog food out of the dogs bowl. I hope the Joint Health Formula will work for her as well as it does for Willie.

10 Days of "Love is ..."

Love is 4 arthritis-pained legs, two almost blind eyes, 2 deaf ears and an always happy wagging tail. No matter how mad I sometimes get at him or how long we leave him at a kennel or dog sitter, as soon as he sees me his old body jumps for joy and happiness. My dogs love is endless and very forgiving. We humans can learn a thing or two from these 4 legged companions. I love you Willie, always and forever! You are the best dog ever even if nobody else can see that but me.

Lillie: Love is when Papa takes me to lunch at his work and teaches me how to skate, and if we wouldn't have him we wouldn't have money.

Lulu: Love is mommy.

Lillie: Lucy you have a cough I think you have menomina like me, that means your brain is not working. Don't worry they just take an xray of your lungs and if you breath for them you get a sticker.

By mama: when your 5 year old has pneumonia and all she is worried about is that she gets an extra lollipop for her little sister when she goes to the doctor. I love you Lillie-Bean! You are the BEST big sister!

Lillie: Love is when you hug and kiss somebody and it makes you feel warm in your heart.

Lulu: I love lila.

Lillie: If you love somebody like I love Jay it makes you happy inside and I let him borrow my shuffle.

Lulu's Day

Today Lulu ate:

- half a stick of lip-balm blueberry flavor

- one medium size Play Doh lollipop made by Lillie for her

- 1/4 of a tin of eye shadow and

- 3 goldfish

.... she also decorated her legs with nail-polish and fell at least 8 times of the kitchen-chair

Mama: Do you know that Papa and uncle Rick are brothers.?L: Yes; because they both have really short hair on the front (aka balding :)

Lillie: a heart, you show somebody that you love them when you make them a paper-heart-flower.

Mama: L don't lie, you know what happened to Pinocchio. L: I don't believe his nose got bigger. M: I saw his nose in the movie and it did get bigger. L: Well papa's nose is a little big.

God made people so he could watch out for them and then they can come up and be with him and the angles and if they are bad he made the policemen and time-out.
