MR. EB's treasure hunt

We had brother Jay stay over to search for treasures together on Easter Sunday morning.

At 7:00 AM there was A LOT of commotion in the house.

WHER ARE THE EGGS???

Mr. EB was super tricky this year.

He had decided that the little people of the CZ household should work a bit harder for their eggs :)

So the search was on to find the BIGGEST Easter Treasure ever!

What rhymes with fat?

Lulu disappeared with her eater basket in her room ... 5 minutes later she was surrounded by candy wrappers and her mouth was covered with sugar ... but she DID NOT EAT ANY CANDY!!!

Easter Solstice

In the midst of prepping and running a Craft Camp for 120 6th grade students yesterday, Patrick working 18 hours days and only coming home to sleep, easter preparations for pre-school and Ls class and L battling a terrible cold we somehow squeezed in a few at-home crafting sessions to beautify our Easter Solstice.

The Solstice is my favorite part of our house! We LOVE decorating it and then admiring the craft creations we hang on it.

The purple bunny is from a craft session I ran in Lulu's pre-school. All kids made their own little bunny faces ... they all turned out sooo cute! 

And after teaching 9 year olds and 12 year olds I have really come to appreciate working with these little people. They are so easy and so joyful!

They don't second guess their choices in colors, compare their bunny to the one next to them and they are not judgmental nor do they criticize. 

They just enjoy making something with their little hands and are so happy and proud of their masterpieces. 

The pink bunny is Ls creation from school. The ears close down and the bunny turns into an easter egg :)

This year we were brave and blew out eggs to decorate the empty shells.
Lulu na-course had to have something lila :)

This is our mosaic egg. We broke one shell and dyed the shells in different colors.
L spent a long time glueing on these little egg shell pieces to make this pretty egg.

You can guess who made this one :)

This egg was covered in colored tissue paper ... like a paper macho egg. I LOVE this one!

And L made a green sparkle egg (she is still stuck on St. Patrick's day green :)

These are pottery clay eggs I made with the Ls two years ago.  We used a candy egg shell as a mold.

Then the Ls decorated them.

Our Easter Solstice is ready ... now we just need to get the rest of the house in shape (that should only take 2 months :)
