Dreams do come true!

This Thursday, 12 months ago, we lost our Dorkie so unexpected and fast, it tore out hearts apart.
One week later we were blessed with a little, furry bundle of joy to heal what had been broken.
Buddy Tang was a gift from heaven (and Mrs. Tang :) and he has become our most beloved Bud, Buddy, Bud-Bud.

We LOVE this little guy so much and he is the best dog you could ever ask for.
So kind and gentle.
Loves everybody and everything, licks you to death if you let him.
Our best friend!

He was born with hereditary hip-dysplasia and has hit a few rough spots here and there but nothing some pain meds, a heating pad and some snuggles plus rest could not cure.

His most favorite thing is playing with other dogs and we made sure to send him once a week to Doggy Day Care to have fun and play ALL DAY.
He'll come home and sleep for 24 hours straight.

Buddy Tang is awesome, perfect, very much loved but he was lonely. Very lonely!

Two weeks ago we gave him the greatest gift ever.
Actually Deven did.
He gave this gift of love and life to his buddy Jedi Lillie.
Our Warrior Boy made his little fan VERY, VERY happy. All of us!
He gave us one of his best smiles :)

Deven's puppy Kemo and his mom's dog Peyton had 4 babies on April 15.
One boy, Yoda and 3 girls, Flora, Fauna and Merryweather.
Merryweather was chosen to join Dev in heaven, for she was the smallest and with that just perfect to have some big angel protection by our Warrior Boy.

Yoda was the chosen one for L from day one.

We got daily updates and pictures and we were eagerly awaiting his arrival in our house.
Flora (now Delilah...LOVE that name!) lives now with Angie's mom-in-law and is being spoiled and pamper.
Our day had finally come  too, it was time to bring home baby :) and since Angie wanted to leave town for a few days we got to bring his baby sis Fauna home as well, to puppy sit and to help Yoda get adjusted in his new home. d.

It was like a puppy day care.
Puppies, puppies everywhere.
We loved them and played with them, fed them and spoiled them.

From the moment we brought the pups into the house Buddy was soooo excited.
The puppies liked him too, especially little sis Fauna. She kissed him and ran after him all day.

And Buddy, well Buddy fell in love with her too!
We kept them separated by the baby gate when not supervised to give them time to adjust.
Fauna chewed through the plastic chicken wire (which we had to add since they were so tiny, they fit through the gate :) and Bud tried to squeeze through the gate to get to her.
This was true love at first sight, like they imprinted (my Twilight readers will know what that means :P

Yoda was more on the quiet side when it came to Bud but sure a little trouble-maker when it came to escaping. This little guy could squeeze through a pinhole, I swear.

And Jedi L was in heaven.
She had waited sooo long to hold her baby. She sat with them for hours, red to them and loved them.

The babies were so happy together and adjusted right away, after some crying at night and us getting up at 3 am to play with them.
Their first week with us was like having a newborn. I was a walking Zombie (a happy Zombie though :)

And the Ls ... well they were just so VERY, VERY happy!

Fauna got to stay for a few days extra (well a whole week extra) and we didn't mind AT ALL!
We tossed the idea of keeping Fauna as well but three dogs would definitely push it, not to talk about our landlord or trying to find a new place to live, if/when leave here.
Family meetings were in session every day.
We had to send one back and the more we watched Buddy and Fauna we all realized that we could not separate them, ever!
She slept in his bed, he SHARED his Chewnola (unheard of), he let her eat out of his bowl and they usually could be found completely entwined, playing like crazy.

So, with very heavy hearts we asked for permission to "switch" our precious gift Yoda with Fauna :(
Yoda is the cutest, little teddybear face you have ever come across!
The PERFECT puppy!

He is almost too perfect! Just absolute adorable.

It broke our hearts sending him back home. Luckily his mommy Peyton was VERY happy to have her bebe back in her paws and thats where he'll stay for now.

But this little girl, this sweet face, is our newest addition now.
Fauna Leonis Czarnota <3
She completes us!
We tried to find a new name for her, fitting the Star Wars theme or giving her a true Warrior name like Khalessie BUT we have gotten so used to calling Fauna Fauna that we decided to keep Fauna Fauna :)
she actually listens to her name or if you call "puppies, puppies, puppies" or if you have food or a toy or just walk in :)

She completes Buddy!

And she is the BEST snuggler!

Pat is madly in love with his new girl (whats one more for him anyways :)

We ALL are head over heals in love with this 2.5 pound bundle of energy and love.
I have never seen our Buddy so happy!
He is a completely different dog now. He even forgot about his floor anxieties ;P

This little one has brought us so much joy and happiness!
It feels like we have been waiting for her forever.

Our Warrior Boy will always be with us through our baby Fauna. every time we look at her we see Deven's smile :)

So thank you my dear Warrior Boy for our baby Fauna!
Thank you Angie and family for brining this little baby into our lives and for making us smile every day!

THANK YOU
from your little Jedi Lillie, who loves her Warrior Boy so much and talks about you like she has known you for all of her life.
THANK YOU
from Lulu, she is so happy to not be the smallest anymore :)
THANK YOU
from Pat, he really needed another girl!
THANK YOU
from me, for making my family so very happy and for puppy breath and puppy belly kisses.
 And THANK YOU
from Buddy for making him so very, very, extra happy!
NO THANK YOU from the cats or the chickens, sorry :P

Now all I wish is to find a way to box up some of this happiness and send it your way, for you are still hurting while we are so happy :(

We are forever grateful!
...or as Buddy would say "Dreams do come true!"

So welcome to the family baby Fauna Leonis Czarnota.
We LOVE you!!!

Tardie and his Binkie

Trouble-Tardie and his binkie :)

After another successful week of destroying my house I have finally come to the conclusion that he will not change any time soon.
Apparently these are the Terrible Puppy Two's ... can't wait what the Three's will bring :P

We asked his "Uncle Rick" from his Puppy Day Care about a trainer for the Budster and he just looked at me and said "Save your money! He is not getting it!

... YET!"

Still too young to get the whole training thing ... darned and here I was hoping I'd bring him to Uncle Rick at 7:00 am and pick up a fully trained Buddy at 7:00 pm the same day.
Guess I will have to wait a few more months for that day :)

We love our little Trouble Buddy (... most of the time)!
I never got to go underpants shopping so often before ... it's kind'a fun :P

Buddy meets his "clone" at the dog park.
"Little Bear" looks JUST LIKE our Budster!
CRAZY!!!

A very cute moment!
... after he ate my BELOVED Toms today :(

Ohhh ... you little TURD!

My $30 Teva's :(

They survived Eddie, two years of wear while hiking, walking, wandering, dream walking and chasing after the Ls but they did not survive my 14 week old Buddy Tang.

He is such a little .... right now.

He'll sit right next to you, looking at you with his big, round puppy-rackoon-eyes like a sweet, innocent little angel.
You slip your foot out of your slipper, while telling him how sweet he is and how much you love him and ZOOM
... fast as could be, he snaps your shoe and off he takes and you find yourself chasing after that little turd, one-slippered, screaming "Buddy NO!!!! LEAVE IT!!!" and he takes off because it's the besetst game in the universe for him right now.

... oh and just in case you are saying "Just get him some chew toys" .. he has PLENTY!!!!

Oh such fun times  :)

Flopsy Buddy

The Ls and I took Buddy for a nice walk today.

He has been shredding everything in his path, trying to eat my leg every time I walk past him and he is VERY MUCH in LOVE with his bed.
Clearly the boy needed more exercise to calm down the young man's energy and hormones :)

His fur is very thick.
The vet thinks he may have so called "double fur" so he gets hot fast.
When we got to the play ground he just plopped down and was DONE!

I LOVE how his little legs just plop down ... plumbs and he is down :)
So darn cute!

Walking on a leash is still a very foreign concept for him.
He pulls to the front, stops or pulls back and I usually trip every second step over his leash ... but we are getting there ... some day :P

L is convinced Buddy is holy.
She sais he has a cross on his back (the dark line) and it's because he was sent to us to take Dorkie's place.

Yes, he is definitely an angel, sometimes in disguise, especially after his nap or when he wakes up in the morning and has enough energy to turn into a little crazy boy,  but then you look into his sweet, sweet, fluffy face and he wants to lick you all over and you just can't be mad and just snuggle him.

He can sit, stay, down and give "high five" for treats (na course!) and he is kind of listening when we call him.
If I call "Buddy, will you come or not?" he comes  ... or not ... mostly not :P

He is a very smart little Buddy and it doesn't take him much to learn new tricks but telling him to not turn my kitchen into a swimming pool is still an issue. This boy LOVES to splash his water ALL OVER, ALL DAY.
It's awesome, I clean it, he splashes, I clean it, he splashes .... now add the saw dust from Pat's contraction zone and you have yourself a very muddy Buddy!

We LOVE that boy and I think my Dorkie would have really liked him too.
I miss Dorkie, especially when we go the "usual route" that he loved so much and peed on every, single inch of that walk.

Buddy also has the sweet eyes of my Willie-boy.
Just this cute, loving face. It just melt you :)

I see a lot of both in him ... he is just perfect for us, in every single way.

I am so glad this little guy fell into our laps (thanks to two VERY sweet friends of ours :)
Our Buddy Tang makes this house complete ...  (ly crazy) again

Humping Buddy

I guess he is ALL GOOD again and has found his new favorite pass-time,
puppy-bed-humping!

He has been actively loving his sweet, red, soft bed for a few hours and just stopped to run and take a drink and then quickly returns to his new LOVE!

I think it's save to say he is well :)

... and we are all VERY happy about it!
And oh so proud.
My baby found his new love ... how sweet!

Pat thinks it's very inappropriate and just walks away.
I don't mind it ... let him have his fun.
Soon enough it's shnip-snap bum-balls up :)

... and if this post didn't make you smile then I don't know what will :)

Good Buddy

I better update my worried Necklac-Lee followers on my little Buddy.

So yesterday at around 5:30 pm we left a very sick looking Buddy in his crate.
L had been sitting with him for a while, reading him stories and spending some time with the little sick patient.

I was very worried and didn't know what I would find when we came back.
But we had to leave since L had her big performance (have to post about that one too ... boy!).

We walked into the house around 9:00 pm and were greeted by a JUMPING, barking, tail wagging Buddy who looked at us like:
"HEY you people!!! Where have you been?".

Pat and I looked at each other, looked at Bud, looked at each other again and just shook our heads.
I had prepared myself to bring him to the ER that night, worried he'd be too sick for me to do home treatments and I had my super friend Carrie (Vet Technician) on call as well.
But what we found instead was a seemingly very happy and healthy puppy.
No signs of sickness, fever or wobbly feet.

So this was definitely not a full blown parvo outbreak.
He had been vaccinated just a few days earlier so maybe he had a very mild version from the immunization?
Your guess is as good as ours.
Can't wait to hear what Dr. A has to say about this miracle!

I turned around, walked back out and walked back into the house wondering if I had just walked into the wrong house or if I had passed out again but this time missed like a whole week or something.

We felt like we were in the twilight zone!
Unbelievable!!!

We played with him and kissed him and I tried to snuggle him (which I could do when he was sick ... apparently too weak to wiggle himself out of my claws) but this time he just wanted to RUN and PLAY and be our crazy puppy again.

This morning he was attacking my slippers and pants again, just like he always does.
I was so happy that he did this again ... for about 1 minuted and then it got annoying again :)

And now he is laying down at my feet, ripping some VERY stinky farts and is snoozing, dreaming about organic chicken and rice dinner, since he apparently does not think he should be eating his regular puppy food anymore ... he wants that good stuff!

When I tried to feed him his reg. food he just looked at me, barked at the food and tried to give me a "high five" hoping that would make the chicken appear in his bowl.

If he still refuses tomorrow I'll make him another batch ... he earned it :)

Welcome back to health Buddy Tang!
We have missed your crazy, slipper attacking, pant leg biting puppieness VERY much!

THANK YOU for all the prayers and good wishes and concerned calls.
You can call us the dog drama house. I am thinking about turning this into a realty show ... I am sure we'd get viewers!

Buddy is GOOD again!
THANK GOD!!!!

CZ Hospital is open for business

So clearly we have the BEST vet on this earth!

After checking Buddy this am and determining that he definitely is not worse and maybe, possibly even a little better, he sent us home with plan a) b) and c) and all the "tools" needed to implement each plan.

I have an IV set for hydration, oral and sub que (under the skin) antibiotics, nausea meds and written instructions for each and every scenario.

He thinks we probably won't need do open the living room ER but said he didn't want to take any chances and also wants to save us from paying $$$ at the ER for pets.

I LOVE this man!!!!! I DO!!!

If you are a Milpitas resident and have a beloved pet you MUST become a patient of Dr. Anderson at Calaveras Animal Hospital.
He ROCKS!!!!

Buddy has attacked my slippers this morning and is chewing on a toy right now ... yesterday he didn't do either and BOTH are his favorite things in the world (besides stealing underwear, preferably worn ones!).
He is looking not as sad and slept all night cuddled up to me (which he has never done before ... awww ... I loved it!!!).

So we are officially "on call" and I have auntie Carrie's number on speed dial.
L's fairy god mother is also a vet technician and will be my secret weapon should things turn sour.

Cautiously optimistic we are going into this weekend and hopefully end it with a happy ending!!!

.... sigh ...
All these praying hands have helped us so far. Keep them together for us. Will you?

xoxo

Sick Buddy

I AM NOT starting this post with "Dear God"!
Do you hear me? I AM NOT!!!

Because every time I do so it ends with someone getting wings and my (our) hearts more broken.

So this time I refuse to ask him for help via the blog.
I am pretty sure the Ls and our friends and me ... we have it pretty well covered (in more private conversations with the guy up above).

I thought something was up yesterday.
Buddy just was very sleepy and didn't attack my legs like usual but this morning it went from slow to not moving and just one look at him told me something was/is wrong!

I phoned the vet (I have them on speed dial by now) and we got in within the hour.
From the time we walked in the office they treated us different.
They didn't come to pet Buddy and when another dog came they immediately put us in a room to keep him separated.
This should have been sign enough but when the nurse took his temp and didn't give me "oh he is fine" speech I got worried.

And rightfully so!

After an afternoon at Dr. A's office it has been determined that Buddy has the parvo virus.
Not good for any dog but really not good for puppies who are not yet fully immunized.
He got fluids and antibiotics and will go back tomorrow to do the same to keep him well hydrated for what is to come.

The next few days will be hard on him (and us) and it's now just a waiting game to see how bad it gets.
If we are lucky it'll be just a mild version.
So we are keeping our fingers crossed and our praying hands folded.

The vet recommended a rice and chicken diet (if he eats at all) so I made him a batch of organic chicken and organic rice (I am NOT taking any chances with this baby of mine!!!).
Like his brothers, he LOVES chicken and actually ate the whole serving.
Water ... not so but I forced him to lick it off my fingers.

So the wait is on and the worry back in the house :(
This is the year of testing us, I swear of it!

BUT WE WILL BEAT THIS THING!!!!
And if I have to start nursing that puppy. I will not have another wooden box in my house!
NO F#$%^ WAY!!! (if you know me at all you know I don't talk like that, ever!)

So please do whatever you can, pray to whomever you pray and send us good vibes for this little bebe of ours.
He will need lots of help getting over this little bump on his LONG, LONG road of happy Buddy life head of him.

We'll keep you posed ... for now I need to sit and pet my little sick Buddy!

"Monday morning

... you sure look fine ..."

Obviously Fleetwood Mac has not been in my house ...

8:20 am; I am opening the door of the bathroom and instantly STALL in my steps ... GINORMICA is looking at me like "What? I am just checking out the inside of your coop. Not bad!"

AHHHHHHHHH ..... OUT, OUT, OUT!!!!
NO CHICKENS IN THE HOUSE !!!!

8:30 am; I hear Chicken screaming like these are her last 5 minutes on earth.
When I race outside I find her UP HIGH on the yard fence, right NEXT to the GINORMOUS cactus.
I race over, worrying we'll have Chicken ala cactus in a second and rescue her into my loving arms. This was the first time I actually got to hold her and she, being scared to death, just sank into my rescuing arms and put her head right into my hand.
POOR Chicken!!!

I brought her back into the coop and all three are now hovering in their house, reliving the last, surely most exciting minutes of their chicken lives.
Ginnormica and Buddy had a few play matches.

The winner?
Guess!
She is twice his size, this little guy does not scare her and she is a very good alpha chicken and protects her little feather flock quite well!

8:40 am; a very MUDDY Buddy is now running through the house, trying to find his next victim.
And there she is, staining in full, white, fluffy beauty.  Meow!
She, of course, wants NOTHING to do with this little, annoying fur ball and just shows her pearly whites to him, which he, of course, takes as an instant invitation to jump at her, begging to play.
Nada my friend, there have been many more before you who wanted to play with her and had nothing but a scratched up nose to show for.

9:00 am; L wakes up .... THANK GOD, puppy relive!!!!

Where the last few days have been spent sobbing and moving very slowly through the house, not knowing what to do and tears coming and going at any given time or moment, triggered by coming home, dropping food, seeing something blacken the floor ...

... now the minutes and hours are spent running after the puppy, trying to save the house from total destruction while keeping the little guy entertained and happy at all times.

Yesterday we took Buddy for his first walk to the park.
The Ls and Bud were running and playing and he loved every second of it.
He loves everybody and will follow whoever walks by him.
When the Ls took off with their bikes he cried and wanted to race after them.

It was a good outing and we all felt like we could breathe again.
Our hearts feel lighter and there is laughter in the house again.

The Ls prayed last night and told Dorkie all about his new brother.
We sit and listen to his chimes VERY often.

THANK YOU again Cynthia!!!
I look at the sunflower and hear the chimes sing and my heart beats much faster and I can feel my sadness go away a little, every time I hear their sound. I know he is here with me and always will be and the chimes are just the prefect reminder!

Thank you my dear, dear friend!!!

Buddy needed a good bath after the park date ...

... and then just crashed.

He seems to like Mama's slippers and every time I stand still for a second he plops down next to me and lays his head on my shoe :) Cocking has become a bit harder ...

And even the Ls crashed.
Lulu almost fell asleep waiting for her favorite dish Pasta with Brown Butter and Mizithra cheese (I know somebody is smiling right now :)

So the days are getting better, little by little and Buddy is such a great distraction from the heart ache we  suffered that I now believe God truly put this little boy into our laps for a reason.

Thank you Mrs Tang!
You changed our lives in an instant when you sent me the email!
Do know that we all thank you and Penny so very much for entrusting us with this little fluff ball!!!

Off to keeping puppy and the Ls out of trouble ... it'll be a LONG day :)
