Lulu's comment of the day
M: Lets get ready for bed. What story do you want to read?
Lulu: I want Lillie to read me my story!
M: ???? OK????
Lulu: Awesome ... she said yes, HERE I come!!!
WOW!
Having another person being able to read Ariel for the 1 millionst time really does pay off :)
Now they are laying in bed together ... impromptu sleep-over with sis.
Ahhhh ... sumer vacation bliss.
I am sure 24 hours from now it'll be all over but I'll enjoy it for right now :)

Lulu: I don't like German hot-dogs.

Lucy's comment of the day
Pat: "What do you say to mama Lulu?"
Lulu: "sniff-sniff ... I sorry for punching you in the face ... sniff-sniff!"
... no worries, it goes well with the black eye she gave me last week :)
We were reading and she threw herself back, right into my cheek bone and the next day I had a black eye.
... which went well with the almost broken nose/concussion I got the other week.
First Pat and the Dork wrestled in bed and Dork fell with his spine on my nose. It hurt like heck and I had a stabbing headache the next day.
Lulu tried to fixe with the headache. She waived her HARD cardboard valentines mail box around and hit me right on the same spot on my nose.
I actually did see stars for a second or two.
The Dr. gave me some nice pain meds after my headache still hadn't gone away one week later.
It was 2 years ago that Lulu gave me a concussion ... it was about time for a re-do !
It is safe to say that this family is killing me softly ...

Lulu's comment of the day
On the way home in the car...
L: Mama, what did the Doctor say? Did he say no more sugar for Lucy?
M: No. But maybe it's good to cut down on it for a little while.
M: Yes Lulu, no more sugar for you, it makes you crazy. NO MORE SNEAKING CANDY!
L: I DID NOT SNEAK CANDY!!! (in a VERY upset tone)
.... anyways, the bowl is way too high up on the microwave. Even when I used the chair I could not reach it and in the fridge is only the chocolate that I don't like. See I could not sneak .... you mean tattle sister girl you!
M: ... smiling silently thinking " this HAS to go on the blog for sure!"
Conversations like this make labor so worth it!!!

Lulu's comment of the day
I was laying in bed with Lulu this morning, my arms crossed behind my head and we were just chatting when she looks at me in complete shock and screams ...
Lulu: WHAT DID HIM DO TO YOU MAMA?
M: WHAT??? WHO??? Whats wrong?
Lulu: (pointing at my underarms) PAPA, he put all of him beard sharpies under your arm.
Thats not nice him do that to you!
M: ... note to self, SHAVE underarms today, it freaks out the kid!!!

Lulu's comment of the day
Getting ready to go out for supper.
Lulu can't find a pair of shoes to wear (the poor kid only has about 20 to choose from).
I grab a pair of sandals that I just found in a box, old ones from L and hand them to her.
M: Here, look at those. Would you like to wear them?
L: Oh YEAH!!! These are the same ones Jesus wears.
M: ... looking at her with a blank stare ... ????? What???? When? Yesterday at the playground or what?
I never knew Jesus wore German made Elefanten sandals?
I swear, I learn something new every day :)
Those kids crack me up some times.
If that doesn't make you stop in your tracks and break out in laughter then I don't know what will :)

Lulu's comment of the day
At "The Jungle", the Ls were running through this maze of tubes and tunnels for almost an hour straight. They came back looking tired and hungry.
M: Whats wrong? Are you still having fun?
L: Yes BUT we lost our friends. We tried to catch them but Lulu was a slow-poke.
Mama: Oh Lulu, you are NOT a slow-poke (to L: "DON'T call her that Lillie!"). You are just little, with much shorter legs.
Lulu: (standing there, with her hands on her hips and a very assertive look) NOOOO, I am NOT little!
I WANT to be a SLOW-POKE and NOT little!!!
M: ... smile ...
They are just "full of it" this week :)

M: "Really, thats nice. I like Hector, he is a good, little man."

L: "I can't tell you. It's a secret."

Lulu's comment of the day
Lulu had a tough night last night.
Her little, itty, bitty tummy got rather ill and she needed to sleep near a bowl for most of the night. During one of her "internal cleansing" sessions around 2:00 am we had this lovely conversation.
Mama: Are you done or is there more in your tummy that needs to come out?
Lulu: I really like lila and rainbows. I love lila mama!
Mama: I know you do. How about your tummy, is it feeling better or do you need to throw up some more?
Lulu: Is there lila in a rainbow? I really want to have a lila rainbow some day!
Even in the darkest hours of a stomach flue all she cares about is lila and rainbows. Bless her little, itty, bitty Ballerina Heart!

I turn around and walk right into their room, carefully inspecting the room and situation, to find out what these two are up to.
Mama: What is she not allowed to tell me L?
L: searching for words ... ahmm ... hmmm .. she is ...hm... she is just not going ... going to tell you ... ahmmm ... oh yeah that she is tired, thats what she can't tell you!
Mama: You two know, that if you lie to me your nose will grow bigger and bigger, just like Pinocchio's nose did, right?!
Lulu: with her eyes wide open, feeling her nose "I not lying Mama, only Lillie is" (pointing at L of course).
L: feeling her nose "Is it already big?"
Mama: .... wahahahahah!!!!!

Lulu's comment of the day
The Ls wanted to read "Little Red Riding-hood" (the German version) tonight.
The Brothers Grimm where quite gruesome but thats what the Ls wanted, so we red it ...
Mama: ... and then the big, bad wolf ate the grandma and and little red riding-hood ...
Lulu: Tomorrow we don't go to the wolf wood, we go to the woods with horses cause horses don't bite people and we bring the police man to "tect" (protect) us. That wolf is a mean wolf, we only like nice wolfs!

Lulu's comment of the day
While we were out for a walk with Ed the Ls decided that they needed to go potty in the bushes all by themselves .
Not a bad idea I thought, it's good practice and if something goes "wrong" we can quickly run home.
While I tried to explain the "process of proper bush-peeing" for a girl to big L I left little L shortly unattended. When I turned around to check on her I saw her with her pants pulled down, her hips pushed out, peeing all over herself.
M: Lulu??? What are you doing? NOOOO!!!
Lulu: Look Mama, I am peeing like Papa.
