When your 3 year old decides that "I HAVE to make a cake for Lillie before she comes home from school Mama, P-L-E-A-S-E!!!!"
Well of course we had to and thanks to my "pantry-hording-issue" I had just the RIGHT STUFF!
How to make a "LOVE Cake"
Oil the pan
Pour mix in a bowl or pot ... whatever the little baker desires)
add one TBS of oil
and one egg white
Stir vigorously until your arm gets tired (after 5 seconds)
stir some more with the other arm
TASTE the STUFF ... "not bad!"
pour in HEART SHAPED pans and taste some more
and taste more ...
FGM, please note the outfit :)
Pose for some pictures because "Mama, will you put this on the blog so everybody can see what a good little sister I am and they all are going to say "awww ... she is so cute" to me?"
... seriously, I'm not making this up ... she DID say that!!!
The Ls are VERY aware of the blog and it's promotional powers :)
Hydrate
Pose some more and make a really silly face
lick the pot until there is ABSOLUTELY nothing left
see your two master pieces after they come out of the oven
Race to school to pick up L and tell her ALL ABOUT your big surprise even though Mama said it's a secret and we won't tell her ...
Come home and start icing and decorating
(we were getting ready for some acrylic painting and the Ls were properly "dressed" for the occasion. Acrylics DON'T come out of clothes so we (well they) paint in the nude ...)
et voila ... THE LOVE CAKE
and ....
EAT it!!!!
So sweet!!!
Seriously, this mix was so disgustingly sweet, not even L would eat it.
Lulu was all over it, especially the frosting, the SWEET, SWEET, SUPER SWEET frosting !!!
Next time we'll stick with auntie Judy's home made frosting ... this stuff was YUCKKKKKKKKKK!!!
After the Lulu attack ...
Fuer Anke :)
and to finish this perfect moment,
sealed with a yummie sister-kiss
Yup, that's what LOVE is!
... until they fight again ...
