Where the heart lays ... Epiloque

There is really nothing left to say, except for THANK YOU to all of our Tucson friends for making us feel so  welcome.

For driving all the way through the city to see us, welcoming us back into our old neighborhood and letting us wash our "dirty underwear" ;)

For feeding us (since we were sick of going out with the Ls every night) even thought you had a sick, little man at home.

For offering your house for a get-together of MANY people, even thought your little daughter is ill with a fever.

And for just being just the way we remembered all of you.
- WONDERFUL!!! -

I am leaving you with my FAVORITE pictures of our trip.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the desert skies, sun rises and most of all sun sets.
I could sit there staring at that big, hot sun going down more and more by the minute and changing it's bright yellow color into orange and red combination like you have never seen before.
This was our last night in Tucson and we enjoyed every minute of it!!!

Desert Skies

And a nice fire outside, near the pool, staring at the stars.
(Sorry for the bad picture quality, the camera was out of juice so we used the phone.)

L staring into the fire

L saw a shooting star!!!

What a wonderful evening we had.
L was just complaining that she could not "marsh the mellows" ;)

L  was crying, like she had just lost her puppy or something, when we drove to the airport and ALL of us were pretty grumpy all the way home.

So far I have begged Pat 20 times to move back and L and Lulu have joined to chorus :)

Ls and my b-day wish is to go back "home" for our b-days in October ... with enough begging, eye lash flapping, and more whining plus a big cherry on top we hope we will get our wish.

Please Papa, PLEEEEEASE!!!

My dear Tucson, we will return SOON!!! ... this is a promise!!!

Chapter 6 - Fore!!!

To Pat's delight, the hotel had a few golf courses and of course he had to take advantage of it!!!
By his side was his new Caddy and Flag Girl, Lillie-Bean Czarnota
(a name you many want to remember since she'll win the Stanley Cup of Golf,
according to her GP and Papa :)

She is good at cleaning balls :)

  Great form!!!

Great FUN!

She is now requesting a set of clubs of her own ... really?
Another Golf Nut?
GREAT, I better by stock in IZOD  ;)

Chapter 5 - Fun Moments

# 1, Adding Some Color

Upon arrival Pat took his 3 girls to the spa to get some "much need work done" :)

What a fun and perfect way to start off this amazing week.

# 2 - Wild Life

One of our FAVORITE places in Tucson, the Zoo.
Oh we LOVE the Tucson ZOO!
I used to take the girls at least once a week and we had fun every, single time!!!

We'd get there around 10:00 AM to make sure we could feed the Giraffes first.

There are volunteers everywhere and always happy and willing to answer any question you may have.
Like when your 6 year old asks: "Why is the tongue so blue?"
Answer: The giraffe tongue is blue because it has very few blood vessels. Because of this the tongue appears to be black. The animal eats a lot of thorny/prickly plants and would bleed profusively so God/nature takes care of its own.

Mr. Peacock bunks with the "Long Necks" sometimes and showed us his BEST side!

Then we'd watch the Elephants eat.

Walk over to the Polar Bear (who apparently doesn't mind the Tucson heat,
since his fur keeps him cool in the summer and warm in the winter).

The we'd stare at the "old folks" for a while.

And then make our way to THE FROG

THE FROG was by far the most fun at the Zoo (and the water park, but it was closed ... apparently 85 F is too cold for Tucsonians to get wet :)
The Ls could easily spend an hour pushing the button and getting water splashed all over them.

May 2008

When we told L about THE FROG she was so excited to see it but when she saw it she looked at me and said "THAT is THE FROG? That little thing? And I liked it?"  ... WOW, all grown up already.

 The Camingos (Lulu for Flamingo)

The other "Camingos" or should I say "Czarningos"

The color matched for sure :)

Yes, we LOVE the Tucson Zoo!!!
