A day of being FOOLISH!!!

OF COURSE ... we had to!

Never would we miss this day! It's as much anticipated as Christmas and birthdays.
April Fools is always a BIG day in the CZ household and this year was no exception ... let me show you!

It was the night before April Fools and all through the house almost no creature was stirring just ... one mama, quiet as a mouse.
And she exchanged the hand soap for Molasses of Brer Rabbit brands, in hoped that everybody would get sticky hands ...

The cereal bowls were neatly stored in the freezer ... to add a bit of chill to the breakfast breezer.

The pictures were hung upside down  all through the house ... still mama was stirring quiet as a mouse.

Some straws were "prepared" for sweet Sprite Pickle Juice ..

and Oreos filled with toothpaste ... how gross!

The the little people woke up, teasing their father

and making him breakfast out of paper and color.

Papa woke up with a bald hair, what a miracle, and watched with delight ...

how the Ls fought their frozen cereal.

The TP was NOT tearing oh what a disaster ...

and one look in the mirror revealed who was the master (of tricking na-course).

Always wash your hands after you are done with the potty, with soap not molasses ... boy are you dirty :)

WOW, whats that? A new toy for us?
YES, just push the button and get a spray on your stash :)

Smile for the camera .. cheese ... more water spray!

This tricking is tricky, this is not ok!

Lets just eat some Oreos ... YUK what a taste. These new Toothpaste Oreos are truly a waste!

BUT ... WHAM then we got her! We are the best in town!
When she opened the door 1000 confetti came down.

The score board was busy all through the day ...

and left us all looking rather silly, I'd say :)

Almost done with the tricking ... but wait what then?

Here L try your Sprite ... YUK ... this is NO Sprite ... you tricked me again!

Pickle Juice Sprite ... her new favorite drink.

"I need to brush my teeth I think!"

The out came the silly glasses straw and real Ginger Ale ...

I knew these things would make us laugh and not let me fail.

Dinner was served with no plates and no utensils ...

The Ls "set the table" with markers and stencils :)

Too much Ginger Ale L? You are looking all weary ...

Oh wait, now it's me who is seeing things not clearly :)

Tired at last,

that moment had to come.

And even the little one was almost done (with boogering).

One final try to put everyone in their place ...

But instead big sissy got cake in her face.

Oh what joy and oh what fun ...

... and then the evening was almost done.

Papa didn't trust drinking his milk on his tray ...

...  but one sniff revealed green milk is ok!

The kids went crazy and it was time to go to bed.

Don't forget to brush your teeth!
Wow, who knew?

The toothbrush is almost bigger than you!

The Ls are sleeping, all snug in their beds (actually on the floor since they decided one should sleep on the floor on a silly day) and vision of April Fools tricks are dancing through their heads.

This foolish day is over but never forget, next year we'll be back with even better tricks yet!

"I got'em GOOD"

Birthdays-shmirthdays and Valentines-shmalentines ... but April Fools Day, that's a day after my heart!!!

Since last year, April 1st is a new prank tradition in our house and oh what fun we (ehem... I mean I) had today!!! Let me count thy ways ...

There was ...

The HIT LIST
(written in German, in case the victims would find it and try to read the plan)

The deodorant-meets-cream-cheese scenario

The saran wrapped shampoo bottle
(nicely hidden under the cap so when the victim would try to use
it nothing would come out, irregardless how hard he'd shake it)

The frozen car keys

The "No Bradery" sign for Pat's phone invented and created by my junior prankster L
(I am so PROUD of her!!!)

THE BREAKFAST!!!
 Eggs Sunny Side Up
(peach and natural yogurt)

Cereal and milk, nicely frozen over night, topped off with some more milk
and it looked like regular cereal.
OJ with a straw ... COOL,
except the straws had holes and didn't work.

The peanut butter covered  door knob and car door handle.

The cotton stuffed toes of the shoes, so the shoes suddenly don't fit anymore
(works VERY well on victims 6 and younger!!!)

L and Lulu trying to get their shoes on ...

still trying ...

What is it???

ahhhh ... cotton ... funny Mama, VERY funny!

The part where we told L that you wear your PJ's to school on April Fools Day
and she totally believed it until ...

... we got to school and I told her "April Fools".
Luckily Mama had her uniform hidden in her schoolbag and we changed quickly in the bathroom ...
(I also took her to ice cream after school to make up for it since I did feel a bit bad about this one!)

The cockroach in the pencil box.

The hand soap colored with food coloring
(that one didn't work ... we thought hands would turn and STAY green but nope ... )

The moving of Pat's car at work from the parking spot where he left it,
to another parking lot a wee bit further away ...

The DINNER
Baked rats and green pasta ... YUMM!!!

Oh ... it looked just disgusting!!!

The pee-juice
(just water with yellow food coloring)

Auntie Michelle's green and pink pasta carabonara (YUMMM!!!)

AND the SPONGE cake ... literally!!!

YUMMM!!! Let's dig in!

 Lulu: "FROSTING!!!"

What is it???

I can't cut it???

Let's try harder ... hammer it Fifi!!!

Ahhhh ... SPONGE-cake!!! So funny!

... the VERY TIRED victims after a LONG day of pranks and being pranked.

What a FUN day!!!

And now it's time for bed ... pranking makes VERY tired! (... and Stella Artois too :)

Thank God I only have to come up with so much mischief once a year, I don't know how these trouble makes do it all year long? This stuff is hard!!!!

So good night world and have a good weekend!
L has her FIRST soccer game tomorrow. We are soooo excited!
