A 6:4 Earthquake shook the Milpitas Monsters this morning.
It shook them BAD ... REAL BAD!!!
The Monsters put up a good fight but nothing could prepare them for such a strong opponent.
We were snack family today so I was on-site to witness the defeat and more ... first hand.
Here is our first-hand Earthquake destruction report ...
The Team was well prepared with nutrition and sugar provisions.
Post-Game Relief Efforts aka Snack Bags
On the way to the game ... not aware of the "disaster" that was awaiting us.
#10 in best form, as we know her.
... and so it began,
ouchie # 1
Still fighting hard!!!
Nice action shot!!!
#8 aka Hector to the rescue
ouchie # 2
On the other field, Isaac gives it his best shot!
That boy has a fearsome kick!!!
He has caused several injuries on the field with his power kick.
Monster-Line-Up
NICE sprint #10 ... she is SMOKIN FAST!!!
#10 surrounded by the "enemy"
and there it was,
BIG ouchie #3
BIG ouchie #3
OUT for the rest of the game :(
#10 stepped on the ball and fell straight onto her knee which
"hurt REALLY, REALLY bad Mama!!"
Shaken by the Earthquakes and broken down, L watched her team lose :(
Personally I think her pride was more hurt than her knee.
These Monsters are not used to losing and they give up quite easily if faced with a stronger opponent.
Tears roll, cleats are stomped into the grass and tempers run high when they are not having the upper hand.
The post game line up for a quick Monster Team picture
The Earthquake Relief Packs came quite in handy and made the defeat
... almost ... bearable.
Except for one MONSTER mother who threw my snack bag, which was filled with whole wheat cheese crackers, a Mandarine, a Yoghurt and a small bag of M&M's, in the bottom of her stroller and told her son "We don't eat that kind of stuff!".
As I said, a true MONSTER mother!
I thought that my bag was better than the Rice Crispy, Gummy Bear and Candy filled bags I had seen before but ... apparently I had not gotten the sack-bag-law memo.
I will stop myself from writing more about this. I might tell you whats REALLY on my mind about this MONSTER mother ... for the sake of my blog and the few people who read it and who may think that I am actually a nice person.
Off to blow off some steam ...
