Vicious Dork Attack

Early this morning a scream was heard all through the house, the street and I am pretty, darn sure all through the city.

"MY EGGY!!!!!"
"YOU did that!!!"
"BAD DORK!!!"

... a coward Dork, tail between the legs, ears down and the cat door in full escape view, looked rather scared at me and then the cat door again ... obviously very torn between obeying and RUNNING!!!

What had happened?

A full-frontal, vicious Dork attack had happened!
A repeat attack too.

The poor victim had been previously attacked by the Dork AND the late Mr. Willie (my little "Saint", may he rest in peace!).

Poor Eggy (DON'T ask me about the name, I DON'T KNOW??? Lulu came up with it and I can't understand why but ... he is Eggy) ... so anyways, poor Eggy has been with us for a good 6 years, I'd say.
He lives in a big, soft book and has brought the Ls many, many days of playful fun and received lots and lots of love in return.

Will had always thought of him as a dog toy and I had to constantly rescue the poor fella from sure "death by underbite".
But my Willie was old and slow and I was young and fast.
Now the tables have turned and I have a young and fast and VERY dumb Dork and I am ... well not so fast anymore (I guess).

These are the evidence pictures taken by the detective, earlier this morning, right after the attack had been detected/reported.

Evidence Item # 1
Severe trauma to the forehead and face.

Evidence Item # 2
Severe bite-wound to the left hand / arm.

Evidence item # 3
Partially severed right foot, several toes are missing.

Doctor Mama was immediately called to the crime scene to give first aid and perform CPR on the victim.
The forehead was sutured together on scene (the patient will have some permanent, facial disfiguration).

After the patient was transported to the operating room (kitchen table), the doctor attempted to save the hand.
Several skin (felt) transplants had to be performed.

The surgery was rather long and very risky.
The shock-paddles had to be in constant reach ...
"CLEAR!!!"

The operation proved to be successful and the doctor is hopeful that the patient will regain most of his hand motions (with a lot of physiotherapy of course).

A sketch artist was dispatched by the local police authorities to sketch a picture of the victim.
The artist refused to sketch the perpetrator due to personal issues "I don't like him anymore!".

Patient information was written on a white board to give the Intensive Care Team precise care instructions.

The intensive care room was well equipped with the most modern instruments.

The emergency gum-ball phone was set up in case the patient should need immediate help.

The patient was settled, comfortably in a luxurious, intensive care bed with 24/7 personal nurse care.

Here you can see the nurse feeding the patient his first meal after the hour long procedure.
An apple.

Here the very attentive nurse assists the patient with drinking water from a sippy cup.

The hospital staff feels very positive about the outcome of this procedure and is rather hopeful that the patient will fully recover.
The patient will retain some scarring and deformation but it should not hinder him from being played with for many, many more years.

The evil Dork has been banned from the Princess Room and has not received his daily dose of dried chicken treats.
He is currently held without the possibility of a walk and is forced to lay on the floor with only two pillows instead of two pillows and a Dora blanket.
He is also subject to full cat torture.

Mr. Eggy has filed for a restraining order against the Dork and I am sure the Judge will be agreeable, given the amount of evidence provided.

Should the criminal attempt to contact (shred) Mr. Eggy again he'll lose all of his bed and furniture privileges, will be downgraded to cheap dog food and be tied up on the cat scratch tree with a muzzle and soaked from head to paw in cat nip.

Case closed. Court Adjourned.

a CRAZY weekend in pics

There is not much left to say about this last weekend of ours, the pictures will speak words :)

Friday ...

See the 10000000 staples along the walls ...

Saturday was supposed t be "Upside-Down-Day"
The Ls wanted to be the parents and we were supposed to be the kids.

This is what we woke up to ...
Mama Lulu brought me breakfast to bed
(on the greasy griddle!!!!)

She decorated my bed.

... and the wall

and my side table

Oh so lovely!!!

Then the L decided to make breakfast ...

Please note the carrots ... everywhere. Strangely nobody had carrots for breakfast?
Must have been for decoration :)

Lulu used forks to make our sandwiches ...

 Look from above ...
what a lovely breakfast table!!! ;)

And then L realized that she was hungry and when we told her she had to make her own breakfast since she was the parent ... well then the game wasn't fun anymore.
Being the parents is much less fun than it looked.

So "Upside-Down-Day" was aborted :)

However, while Pat and Lulu were out and I worked on the floor, L made me this wonderful lunch!

The Ls had picked oranges off the tree and insisted we'd make juice.
NOTE: only use ripe oranges for juicing ... the juice was a bit SOUR to stay the last :)

I went to Home Depot to get a key cut for Pat and while I was browsing through the isle I saw this lovely shade of green laughing at me and ...

... on Sunday, at 3:30pm, I decided to make another mess :)

While Pat and the Ls played with Legos

The Ls got a much needed bath/shave :)

... and then this crazy weekend was over :)

Now lets see how much damage I can do today ... wahahaha ...

Happy Monday :)

BEST carpet stain removal ever !!!

Before:

This stain has been coming back, over and over again.
No matter how often we had the carpet cleaned and if it was some super cheap carpet cleaning service or the best, organic, no chemical use service ... that thing kept coming back.

So this morning, Lulu took a bath, after I gave her a quick hair cut before she'd go to school, I just kept thinking about this dirty carpet of mine.

I had been thinking about this one cleaning method for a while and started playing with it on one spot.
It looked pretty good and so I kept going and going  and ...

... and then it was on!

I RIPPED it all OUT!!!

All of it!!!!
Living room and hall way.

I left the bed rooms untouched ... clearly this was enough work for me as it was.

Meanwhile my poor husband has NO CLUE!!!
He is working, all innocent and happy, looking forward to a relaxing weekend
... and look whats waiting for him!

If you have carpet and you ever wondered whats underneath, how about a HUGE pile of dirt!!!
... and this is just one pile of the many I had. YUKKKK!!!!

I don't even know how old this carpet is.
How many humans and animals it has seen but ... oh yukkkk!!!
No wonder we are all sneezing all the time.

This old house ... and may I remind you we are RENTING :)

I guess I should have asked Mr. John first, right?
Oh well ... too late for that now.

6:00 pm and I have managed to pull out all of the nail boards for the carpet and all 10000000 ... staples in the living room. The hall way still has the staples in but neither my back nor my hands can work for one more second.

I was going to hide the old carpet and sub-layer so Pat wouldn't know whats coming until he opened the door but ... I couldn't even pick it up, let alone carry it in the backyard.

Meanwhile the Ls are putting the new (very old) hardwood floor to the test.
Lulu missed school and they have been on their own pretty much all day.
L presented me with a wonderful lunch.
She made me a sandwich and gave me carrots, broccoli and celery plus ranch.
She did REALLY good!!!

The Ls test results:

It's perfect for ballet ! (Lulu)
It'll be great for bowling! (L)

After:

It's not in super bad shape.
A little bit of work, some sanding and fixing up and a new coat of ??? whatever you put on hardwood floor to seal it, and it'll be as good as new.

I totally love it!

It makes the house look so much warmer and more cozy.
It sounds much different now.
I can hear the footsteps and an echo now but I am sure thats just because it's new.

I am off to take a VERY LONG shower and then ... I think I just fall over :)

Happy weekend!
