4 Days of Lila - Part 1

The best b-day party for a three year old is an impromptu-Ariel-b-day-play-date. 

 ... and so this is what we did on Friday. A quick stop at the Party Store and one hour of commute to Pleasanton to Super Franks (I am such a stay-at-home mom, I never even thought about the traffic on a Friday afternoon before a three day holiday weekend ... insane!!!!!). 

We whipped up some of auntie Judy's famous cup-cakes and off we went to hang out with the Bolduc girls. 

I am so glad my friend Jennifer had come-up with this super spontaneous party idea.You rock girl!!!

All 4 girls had a amazing, fun time and the mommies had lots of time to catch up too.

We were not going to have a party this year for Lulu ... the L's are not big party animals (neither am I) and we just wanted to have some quality time with the kids instead. If you look at our schedule for the last two days and the coming tow days ahead you'll see that a 2 hour, full of excited, screaming kids, too many good friends and too little time to chat filled party would have been much more relaxing :) 

But so far it's been a blast and Lulu is having the best time of her three-year "old" life. 

It's totally worth it!

Auntie Suzy spoils her nieces quite a bit! Here is her latest "spoilation" .

The Ls are in heaven ... they have camped in it for two nights straight and I don't foresee them switching into their regular beds any time soon.

No rest for the weary

It's been a few hours since Ed has come back home from the vet after his BIG day. I had been looking forward to a few calmer days after his anesthesia and anticipated a sore and much slower puppy.
Yes ... so that didn't happen. He played fetch with Patrick for an hour or so and then happily "loved" his doggy bed with lots of passion. He is running through the house like nothing ever happened ... just my luck!
We told the vet to take one of his batteries out while they were at it ... ha-ha ... they just laughed. I am not sure what was so funny about that but anyways :)

I am off to bed, tomorrow the 4 Days of Lila will start. Lulu's big B-Day  celebration weekend.
It'll be crazy and busy but I hope she'll have a wonderful time. Oh god what happened? Where did the time go?

Eddie in ACTION

Patrick said every sentence I say starts with "that dog ..." so I guess I wont be ranting on too much about him for a while before somebody thinks I don't like that little stinker. He has his big day coming up tomorrow ... "Shnip-shnap bum-balls up" ... I LOVE saying that :) He should be out of commission for a few days. Time to recharge my batteries and to collect new patience. Here are a few pictures of his daily activities ...

Yes, the baby gate has been put in place to give the cats a safe haven to eat and stare at him. 

This is my BEST invention EVER!!! I call it the "puppy-busy-station". Pulling on the "jumpy-ball" or trying to pull the table through the house has kept him quite busy. Just bounce the ball or tug on the rope and he'll think "game-on" and go for it ... AWESOME!!! I still have a few tricks up my sleeve I guess :)

Rain, rain, rain ... GO AWAY!!!! It's been grey and dark for days, it's REALLY time for the sun to come out. We usually don't do TV marathons, 15 minutes of TV is all the Ls can manage before they loose interest and run off to fight some more. So when it rained yesterday again for ever and ever and ever I pulled out the big guns ... Fraggle Rock and Benji . The result ... zoomed-out ....
