Bunny Business

L has her Easter Party at school tomorrow. We got to work this morning to make little Bunny Baskets for her class. Paper-cups, bunny ears made out of construction paper, silk paper refashioned into grass and a few goodies for the baskets ... here is the result.

The new fence-painting

Our yard fence was replaced a few weeks ago. We put some of the old wood aside to build a big wall for the kids to paint on. We just moved it to the front yard after I painted on the last coat of clear coating to protect it from the rain. The kids had a blast painting it ... we ran out to get new
acrylic paints more than we ran out to get new milk (and we drink a lot of milk!).

I LOVE this snap shot of Lillie and her Jay. She loves this boy more than anything else in this world (besides her "green lee" maybe). Nobody else can make her this happy and giggly!

Here she is with her other big love "green lee".

This is what greets people coming to our house or driving by. A little bit of sunshine for the street or some "red neck" art ... whatever you want to call it .

Home Made Marble Track

I saw this track in my most favorite magazine "family fun" and decided to build it for the little people. Jay and Lillie started building the track last week and after a few tweaks we finally got it working.

We used toilet rolls, paper towel cardboard rolls, duct tape and stick-on magnets to construct this concoction.

The magnets we used are not strong enough and the tubes don't hold more than three marbles at one time but it still works well. We have a big bowl on the floor to catch the marbles as they come flying out of the tube ... the kids LOVE it!

Lillie's comment of the day

Lillie: When I want something from you mama, you should not do it unless I say "please".
Mama: Oh, did you learn about manners at school today?
Lillie: NO mama, we don't do manners at my school, we only learn about Jesus and God.

... now I know what I am paying tuition for :)

just silly!!!
