Livermore is still on our minds and in our hearts so this morning we decided to go hicking in Willie's favorite place up there; Lake Del Valle. Boy-oh-boy did he ever love it up there. Off leash walking, beach, 1 million smells, seeing other dogs ... he would start crying as soon as we entered the park.
I quite missed my little man today, being up there and seeing the lake and the hills. We were going to bring part of his ashes to spread them at the beach but we forgot and somehow I am not quite ready anyways ... another day perhaps.
It was a picture perfect day, blue skies and a wonderful breeze going through the hills.
Once we completed the usual car cleaning after arrival at the park we hit the trail. No; this time he did not throw up nor did L. This time Ed pooped his none-existing pants. This dog is a travelers nightmare!!!
I may have found a market-niche; doggy-diaper-bags, full with disinfectant spray, puppy wipes and deodorizers, nose plugs and organic flower oils to disperse the smell of vomit or fecal matter.
.... I should be rich soon!!!

Anyhow, we hiked up the trail and set up camp at our favorite part of the beach, the "Willie-Beach".
We ate lunch ... thanks to Patrick who was in charge of prepping the lunch we had plenty of cut-up melon, and melon and more melon. The effort counts right ;)
The Ls had a fab time, enjoyed the water, mud and nakedness.
Now Odie; who had never really been near water except for his one-paw-touch of the Ocean, was very not sure about this big, wet thing.
It took a LOT of convincing and a bit of Pat carrying him out in the water and making him swim back to shore to change his mind. By the end of trip he fetched his tennis balls out of the water and got half in by himself.

The drive home was uneventful and no poops or barf attacks to report.
Another wonderful family day. This week is going by way too fast!
Time truly flies when you are having fun!!!
