"Punch or Treat" or how my husband ended up driving away in a Police Car

Trick or Treating Day was ONE EXCITING day at the CZ residence, let me tell you!

First Miss Snow White left for school, looking like the most perfect little Snow White I had ever seen.
I know I am her mom, I have to think she is cute and pretty, but really ... she pulled it off perfectly with her fair skin color, her awesome eye lashes and her rosy cheeks .... not to mention the royal posture!

She was just PERFECT!!!

Here she is with her BBF Aylia from Pre-School (YES, Aylia is the SAME age as Lulu ... just a "little" taller :)

Then it was time to throw the Pigs in the trees and let the "Angry Birds" out ...

With catapult and all ...

Supper was "wrapped-up" and didn't have much to offer except for some bones...

... and scary brews in scarier cups.

"Now eat your bones and be quiet!"

Yummy Mummy!!!

And the desert was from another planet or something ...

Then Darthy and Snow White hit the Church, hunting for candy and some good'old fun

"Dance or Treat"

The Dunk Tank
... first he is up ...

... then he goes down ... SPLASHHH!

Darth is going down ...

Flying Snow White

This is Lulu and her BELOVED Mrs. Dunn (her other pre-school teacher).
Mrs. Dunn organized the Fall Festival at church and did an AWESOME job!!!
 ... and Lulu LOOOOOOVES her!

Angry Birds in ACTION!

Teasing piggies ... watch out!
(If you haven't heard about Angry Birds, it's a computer game where you catapult angry birds into naughty piggies who stole the eggs. The Ls and Pat LOVE this game!!!)

And now you'd think this concluded our Halloween Day BUT WAIT!!!!

... there was so much MORE because now it got real spooky/scary at Coyote Street!

When we came home from the fall festival, ready to hit the street for some more candy hunting, we found our DRUNK neighbor fighting in the middle of the street with two other guys.
And when I say fighting I mean they war going at it - FULL FIST FIGHT and all .... RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY POOR CHILDREN!!!

Pat walked up to see if he could help and I tried to get the Ls in the house (I don't need to tell you that a they were completely freaked out).
I was trying to phone 911 (by now one of the guys was hitting the drunk guy with the back of a metal flash light) but the neighbors down the street had already phoned them.

One second later we had quite a Halloween light show in front of OUR house.
There were 5 cop cars with lights blinking, it looked like we were at in Vegas ..."blink-blink-blink!!!.
The bloody Drunk was running through the street yelling at everybody, Pat was talking to the Cops, then the Fire Truck came and the Ambulance ... more lights and sirens.
Did I mention ALL IN FRONT OF MY HOUSE!!!!!
Too bad we didn't have a neighborhood contest going "Best Decorated Halloween House" - we would have SO won!!!

I took the Ls out "Trick-or-Treating" to escape the drama but now every neighbor on the block wanted to know what was going on AT MY HOUSE.
They just kept giving the Ls candy over candy so I could tell them the WHOLE story.

Needless to say walking through the neighborhood wasn't much fun anymore.

The guys who had beat up the Drunk live the next street down, so there was more police, more lights and more commotion.
Apparently the Drunk had shot a bee-bee-gun into the other guys KIDS bedroom window.
So of course this dad got real MAD and ...

The Drunk is drunk a lot and high on whatever. There is ALWAYS something going on over there and from the countless cars, that speed up, stop, somebody runs in and quickly out and then speeds off again I am assuming he is running a very lucrative business to fund his drinking hobby.
But better yet, the Drunk rents a room from a family with a little girl. He lives right with them????
And EVEN better, they have no clue what the Drunk is doing. They are completely clueless (or maybe he spikes their morning coffee?)

Anyhow after all this and the fly-by-Ghost who scared the crap out of Snow White ("Mommy, I got so scared my tummy got scared!") we decided to call it quits.
One our way we see the Cop car drive by with Pat in it ... WHAT????

.... no worries, he was sitting in the front seat, feeding the Officer candy out of our Trick-or-Treat bucket and was supposed to identify the guys who beat up the Drunk.

All that went through my head was:
A) Hey ... this is MY candy for the Trick-or-Treaters (but nobody dared to come near my house anyways... so fine give it to the nice Cop driving you around.)
B) Stop grinning! I know all you wanted was to get a ride in the cop car and look at all the cool gadgets and lights and talk to the cop!

Sadly he did identify (reluctantly) the guys.
Really, I thought they were doing us all a favor, they should have hit him a bit harder if you ask me ... if anybody would shoot anything into my girls rooms I'd go bananas too!

About an hour later most of the commotion was gone and we were back to the "normal life" on our street.
Except we were all too freaked out and too upset to hit the street one more time.
We called it quits, the Ls were HIGH on candy anyways, so we went inside and turned off the porch light to "message" STAY AWAY NOW.

The Ls sorted their candy by "KEEP" and "GIVE".
The "Keep" pile was assessed by mama and then put in a SAVE (meaning HIGH UP) place while the HUGE "Give" pile went outside the door so the SWITCH WITCH could come at night and trade all that sweet crap for a little surprise.

We had never had her visit but I have to say she does a good job cleaning the house of all the unwanted candy and brought just enough to make the Ls forget about all the sugar they just gave away :)

Thank You dear Switch Witch!
I hope the KLA employees will enjoy the treats in they lunch room :):):)

And this concludes a VERY crazy Halloween 2011.
The new slogan on our street is "Punch or Treat"!

Next year we'll just stay at church and keep hitting balls at the dunk tank, play games and eat cake.
Much better, cleaner and happier fun than in our street!

Boy-oh-boy ... it never gets boring over here!
Can't wait to see what Santa will have up his sleeve for this street :)
