Today was "Junior Achievement Class" at Ls school which means NO art class for Mama.
Since I was tired of looking at all the things I should be doing inside I decided to walk away and find something to do outside.
We are getting ready for a new project in the garden and some clean up and space making is required SO ... we cleaned and created.
The Ls LOVE making mud-pies and so did I when I was their age.
Making mud-pies is the BEST!
And of course one needs a proper kitchen to make your mud pies.
Lulu and I worked all morning on creating this new, outdoor messy place and it was VERY FUN!!!
Here are the after pics ... I am NOT sharing the ones from how it looked before ; P
the "cooking area"
flowing water
the HUGE soup pot
The Diner
We added some more decorations like the stars and the white board wall and et voila
... a new outdoor kitchen has been created.
The ingredients (dry leaves and flowers and DIRT)
I gave them some real ingredients like flower and VERY old brown sugar that I had found in the back of the shelf.
I used an old lattice and we weaved some colored paper streamers to decorate the "eating area"
Oh and this is where Lulu fell down the trampoline this morning, backwards, straight HEADING for ..
... this!
Her neck was perfectly aligned with the garden border and it is a TRUE MIRACLE that she WALKED away without a scratch!!!!
I held her for about an hour and didn't let her out of my site for the rest of the day.
Holy Sh ... this could have ended bad! REALLY BAD!!!
Thank you little Guardian Angel for protecting her when she needed it and sorry Mrs. Tang, I had to keep her in eye sight for the rest of the day!
Here is one of the items on the menu for today ...
Lulu was trying to roll out the dirt dough ...
Now I must go and stop them from fighting over who gets to cook and who has to eat.
Of course, there is always a reason to fight, isn't there!
