... fits her just right :)
Thats what you call "high maintenance"I guess ; P
(last years celebration)
Since we couldn't have a fancy dinner at her actual birthday we had moved the big event to last night, perfect with being a Friday evening and the weekend ahead to recuperate :)
I had thought about bringing the Ls to a spa but I couldn't find anything kid friendly or affordable so I decided to make my own spa.
And so it began ...
It took me all morning to transform the patio / gazebo into a place of comfort and tranquility.
On the spa-menue was a facial, hand and foot massages and a pedi & mani.
Rose pedals, flower and lavender buds.

Refreshments consisted of fruit kabobs, fruit infused ice water, home made italian ices and a variety of dried fruits and nuts.
The night before I had prepped all the beauty potions.
And after L came home from school it was PAMPERING time!!!
The treatment started with the warm foot-soak.
The chocolate-oatmeal treatment was next.
Don't forget the CUCUMBERS!!!
Ahhhhhhhh ....
Spa music was playing in the background and a fan provided a wonderful, refreshing breeze for the guests.
The good thing about all natural remedies is you can eat them when you get hungry during treatments ...
L all grapefruit-rubbed-up, hands and feet.
Time to eat the FACIAL!!! YUMMM!!!
After everybody was choco-loaded and sugar scrubbed-up and it was time for a warm shower to get unsticky ...
The pedies had been completed during the facial session and all we had to do was paint the nails (we only had time for the little piggies ... who knew that a two person spa treatment could take SOOOO LONG!).
The chauffeur (aka Papa) drove the ladies to their festive venue (that being like always the Spaghetti Factory).
The traditional photo shoot.
L in her fancy summer dress.
Lulu in her evening-gala gown.
WOW!!!
My beautiful Ls!
It was a very SMALL and intimate party.
Just dinner with the "in-laws"!
Lulu and her fiance Nicholas.
Very "lady-like"
Showing off her new fancy shoe work and lila piggies.
Dancing, dancing, dancing ...
Those two are like two peas in a pod!
L and her fiance Jay.
Those two just kept sneaking off to chit-chat and giggle ...
Celebrating 4 years of "love at first sight"
Nicholas sharing his ice cream with his Lulu.
And then we were off to San Pedro's Square for drinks (hot coco & Martinis) and little bit of outdoor music.
Lulu and her gentleman, arm in arm.
L and her Jay.
Then there was more dancing ...
AND ... crash-boom-bang ... OUT!!!
L went home with her in-laws to spend the night giggling with her Jay and Lulu fell asleep before we even left the parking lot.
A perfect end to a perfect day!
Oh how fun life is when you turn 5!
... and when you get to spend the evening in such perfect company, with such lovely people, having the greatest fun!
Thank you dear Marriotts and dear Hanz'ies for making this evening so completely perfect!
We truly had a fantastic time and it is so fun to watch the kiddos enjoy each other so much.
True friends / soul-mates are hard to find.
My Ls are two very LUCKY girls to have found these two little gentlemen.
I hope and pray that these four will stay best friends forever, just like I wish the same for us grown-ups!
To life, love and good friends!
