L started school in Tucson.
We were so excited to send her off into the caring hands of Ute, her wonderful German teacher at IST.
L was the youngest in class and Ute had made sure that ALL kids treated her like a little sister.
She got SPOILED!!!
From her big-sister-like friend Ruby to her twin body guards Max and Victor, everybody was so nice to her.
The German parents in Tucson are a very close-knit community and one person is nicer than the next!
We always enjoyed meeting up for birthdays, BBQ's, play dates, sleep-overs ...
When we left Tucson we lost a bit of the "German-ness" and we (especially I) miss that VERY much!!!
The "Germans" are awesome!
They arranged a BBQ so we could all get together while we were in town.
WHAT A FUN EVENING!!!
All the families from the old German class came together, ate, drank and stared in awe at these kids, who grew like over night, changed so much but still are the same, still all hang out and had a blast watching movies, playing cards, they squeezed in a pillow fight or two and roamed through the grounds looking for dangerous animals and and secret treasures.
