Our Papa turned a whopping 33 yesterday (that baby) and since GP is in town we had to make a little party out of it :)
When we lived in Tucson, Pat had a HUGE BBQ, it fit 35 burgers???
Apparently we NEEDED such a monster. TVs and BBQs must be a resemblance of a man's status or manly-hood. Both have to be really big in our house???
Anyways, when we were at Miko's house Pat saw his old BBQ (which is now representing Troy's manly-hood :) and I swear I saw a tear drop in his eye.
I guess I am a softie after all, so when we returned from AZ I searched and searched for a new BBQ for our Papa. Mind you I have never used a BBQ and I have definitely NEVER bought one.
I read and read and read and then I just decided to go for it ...
He got it the evening before his b-day so we could use it for his b-day supper.
GP and Pat sat all night together and put the new and VERY manly BBQ together.
B-Day boy on his BIG day!
Prost!!!
Papa and his new PRIDE and JOY!
It's a much smaller version but it works AWESOME
and has some nice features like infrared heating ... whatever that means.
The guy on Amazon said it was the BEST so I believed him ;)
Meanwhile, the party was really starting inside ...
Auntie Michelle and Co. had stopped by for a surprise b-day cake delivery
and now it really was a PARTY!!
Thanks guys for the awesome cake and company!
... and thanks Bin for cleaning up the food ;)
They had wayyyy TOO much fun with this.
as I said, it's not a party until one of my girls takes off her ...
Oh and the CAKE!
SOOO YUMMIE!!!
We sang Happy B-Day in English, German, Canadian and Chinese :)
And then GP read to all the kiddos a nice bed-time story.
Happy B-Day Love.
We hope you had a great day!
Love,
Your Girls and GP
