CZ Tradition requieres to see AT LEAST one Nutcracker performance per year and today was the day.
We met Mr. Mouse-King outside for a quick photo shoot, the line for the Nutcracker was WAYYY to long (plus we had our own on hand anyways :)
This was "The Nutcracker" 2010
Wow, how big they have gotten!
Ready for the show!!!
Lulu in Nutcracker -Heaven!!!
My Cool Big L
I love it!
All the girls were dressed up in their fanciest holiday dresses, all but one.
She was wearing tube-pants, Chucks, a plaid shirt and a plaid tie ... that was MINE!!!
We are such rule breakers ;)
After the show we dined as tradition requires at "The Old Spaghetti Factory" .
We had to wash away the bad taste the Nutcracker had left.
This was a new choreographed version and none of us liked it very much.
The costumes were awful (all the Snowflakes wore boring LONG-sleve dresses ???), the Russian Dancers just twirled in circles??? and the Chinese Dancers did none of the famous jumping.
The Big Lady was completely left out and so was the Sugar Plum Fairy.
The last part was danced by some sort of queen and king, the only prima ballerina acts of the show.
Everybody agreed, the "old" version is MUCH better! You just don't mess with perfection!
So over pasta and lemonade we swore a packt to see "The Nutcracker" 2012 in San Fran!!!
Can't wait!!!
Love Pat's new hair-do :)
We had a fun family day and lost of laughter and giggles.
CZ family days are THE BEST DAYS!
