Lillie's question of the day ...

Now this will be a new LABEL for the blog for sure. Her questions are getting too involved and complicated to not mention them here in Necklac-Lee-world. So here it goes. Take 1

L's questions of the day:

L: Mama, how does my body know that I will have a baby?
M: BLANK STARE
L: Like do my legs just make the egg and then it turns into a baby?
M: (oh God ... how did we get here, we were talking about Santa just a second ago???)
M: Well your body has the egg and it needs a boy, like Papa, to make a baby out of it.
L: Right now?
M: NO! When you become a teenager your body will get ready to produce eggs that can actually turn into babies.
L: And how?
M: (frick ... how the heck did we get here??? I am so NOT prepared for this one!!!)
M: (with a gentle smile) So you have the egg and the boy will put his love into it and then a baby grows. But you need a boy for it first, and it has to be the RIGHT one!
L: I already have Jay and we'll get married.
M: We'll then we don't have to worry about that part anymore.
L: And then you get a baby.
M: Well, once you decide it's time you will. It's a BIG decision, you know! (trying to make a CLEAR point here)
L: BUT I DON'T WANT A BABY!!! I want two from the "Opanage" (Orphanage). What do I do now?
M: No worries, they have medicine that makes the eggs not hatch (so to speak).
L: I WANT IT!!! Can we get it now? I WANT IT!!!! PLEASE!!!
M: (WOW ... I am GOOD!!! That went better than I thought! Well done Mama ... padding myself on the shoulder :)

... and this is where babies come from ... for now at least!!!

Love is ...

... when he says "I'll be right back with the cat food you need" and returns a while later with a heating blanket for his half-frozen, about-the-freezing-cold-bitching, blue-lipped, threatening-to-move-to-the-equator, tired and grumpy but yet still loving (in his dreams), VERY Lutheran, wife.

awwww .... thank you Goalie!!! That was awfully nice of you!!!

This And That

Wow, my poor, neglected blog!!!

It feels like we have done 2 weeks worth of "this and that" and more within the last 3 days.
The truth is that I handed over the crown and scepter to King Patrick after his return from his voyage to Singapore and I, poor Cinder-mama, took a few days off and enjoyed a bit of doing nothing.

But now life is back to "normal" (like it has ever been normal for us :),
Pat is back to work here in "this world" as L calls it, L is back to her regular school schedule (last week she had morning classes since there were Parent-Teacher-Conferences) and Lulu and I are back to doing "this and that".

Here are the last "this and that" moments that I was able to capture on camera. Enjoy!

There was a WHOLE lot of
 THIS
going on in the last days!
 ... (nothing new here)

Now that is a very FANCY "THIS" if I may say so myself!

Unicorn Dance

Pony Dace

Dog and Pony Sow

And then there was THAT
Thank God we have enough Princess slippers for all the Princesses ...

 BAD hair day!!!

Work Out Time
(YES people, this is how we work out in our house ;)

another BAD hair day

the new and improved Barbie baby carrier.
Very versatile, can also be worn as a slipper.

Oh and then there was THIS

It only took two days for the Ls to wear me down and let them eat their Ginger babes

YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

Eating the eyes of the poor Ginger baby
 ... terrible, just terrible

 sad face

I'd call this permanent damage!!!

and THAT

breakfast in bed/couch at 5:00 AM
on a SUNDAY????

 and GRRRRRRR ...
THIS!!!
BAD-BAD-BAAADDD DOG!!!!

At least he took the legs this time.
He is getting creative!

 oh yes and THAT

the Ls got their Christmas "things" out and decorated their room ...
... for DAYS!!!

  lila tree :)

Thank You FGM for all the wonderful x-mas books!
It was so fun to open them again after such a LONG time.

Lulu's lila tree :)

and THAT ... uhhhhhh... I mean THIS

 And about those leaves ...
YES we did make them ALL
(I just didn't post all of the wonderful things my even more wonderful Ls were thankful for)

and THAT
this is a German Raeucherhaus (smoker house) that has a little cone made of inscence in it.
When you light it it looks like smoke comes out of the chimney and it SMELLS
...OH!!!
 It smells so GOOD!!!
Just like Advent time and Christmas.
If I close my eyes I feel like I am back in my mom's kitchen during Advent time.
SO YUMMIEEEE!!!!

The Ls decided they needed to get these to honor their guardian angels and baby Jesus (remember I am VERY Lutheran according to my husband and these seem to be VERY Catholic candles but who cares!)

But secretly I am dedicating these to Ms. Moon
(I just found her blog a few weeks ago and I am in LOVE!!!)

I am begging you Ms. Moon, PLEASE write a book! PLEASE!!!
(or maybe you have and I just don't know about it???)
I love the way you write and about what you write and about who and when and where ...
Ms. Moon, you kick ass!!!

Oh  yes, and there was THAT :(

We found Boo-Boo's Stocking and we all had a very sad moment.
L decided we had to hang it up and maybe Santa would bring a note on Christmas Eve,
telling us how Boo-Boo was doing in Doggy-Heaven.
Tears were rolling.
I miss my Forever Dog!
I miss him oh so very much!
He has been with us as long as Patrick and I have had a Christmas together
and that seems like a LONG time.
But this year he is not here with us.
... and here come the tears again :(

Merry Christmas my wonderful, tail wagging dog.
Merry, Merry Christmas.
WE MISS YOU!!!

and THIS!!!!

We found some little candles (for a German candle holder) that had been melted together and we thought (PAT THOUGHT!!!) that we should burn them ... just to see what happens.
Happy 1st Advent!!!
Holy shit ... it almost burned down the kitchen.

The silly faces of Advent

and THAT!
German CHOCOLATE covered Gingerbread
Germans know how to do Christmas RIGHT!!!
Yams - Shmams ...
Chocolate and sweets, now thats what I'm talking about!

and THIS

the DORK and his lila bucket

He did this to himself mind you.
D-O-R-K!!!!
The sweater ... that was pay-back for eating the Ls Barbies but the bucket was his idea!

I made him wear it on the street too.
We walked by his arch enemy's house too.
 ... ha-ha-ha

Oh and then they did LOTS and LOTS of
THAT

Sister LOVE Wrestling

Meow did THIS

and Lulu and Ed did THAT

And now I am going to do THIS

Run and hide under my VERY warm IKEA covers.
It's mighty cold in the play room now.
Father Frost has arrived in Milpitas California and I am not too fond of frozen, stiff fingers after blogging.

Good night world.
May everybody keep nice and warm tonight.
