I am so tired of nagging that I decided we'll try the POSITIVE approach instead. Especially since my sister is coming on Saturday and she has a tenancy to spoil these girls rotten!!! The last time we saw her L refused to walk on her own for weeks afterwards since Tante Juglia carried her everywhere. Watch out sissie or you'll have to take them home with you :)
So here is the grand idea.
The Ls made Earning Jars today and I made a Earning Chart. For every chore they do on their own they'll earn a marble, when the jar is full they get $10 (or better one Barbie, this is how value is currently measured in our house). Once I said Barbie their eyes started sparkling like shooting stars on a clear night in Tucson (anybody who has been there and seen the night sky knows what I am talking about). My hope is that they'll clean the whole house by tomorrow, do the laundry and train the dog and it'll coast me three, maybe four Barbies ... that is much below the current rate, right?
On the chart are chores like clearing the table, getting ready on time, cleaning up your toys and brushing your teeth (without sticking out your tongue!!!)
Lulu's jar ... lila of course!!!
Lillie's jar
