Jay was coming over and since he is "totally into Angry Birds right now" I thought I'd be a good Auntie and tried to make Angry Bird Cake Pops.
So here is the story of the Ugly Angry Birds on Mothers Day and what came next ...
First there was the "Creation"
I used this tutorial for the actual cake pops
... and then I had to get creative to come up with a way to make them look like Angry Birds.
Looks like a scene from a bird morgue
"feathers"
Before
After
Et voila this is how you create
UGLY Angry Birds
Here are the somewhat prettier pops for the adults
these ones were covered in Oreo crumbs
coco-nut
Vanilla-White Chocolate Swirl
the Happy Couple during their Ugly Angry Bird feeding-frenzy
the side effects are already kicking in ...
WARNING ... consumption my cause
Excessive happiness
"mild" hyper-activity
with sudden onset of staring into nothing while your head rests on an orange ball.
Excessive chattiness and dry mouth.
(suggested medications to counter these effects; beer and Prossecco)
Paranoia and the feeling that somebody is constantly chasing you.
May cause you to feel trapped.
To run away,
over
and over
and over and over again ...
Anxiety and the sudden urge to scream like you have been (almost) caught
May induce a feeling of being trapped and surrounded by the enemy
and the urge to just fall to the ground and pet the Dork,
instead of running after your husband.
The urge to camouflage your face with smelly markers
(that don't wash off easily so you have to go to school the next day looking like ...)
THIS!!!
May also cause addiction to gambling (game-bling).
Crazy attempts to slide down the slide on all four, HEAD first!!!
May cause mild iMac addiction
and the urge to eat chicken RAWWWW ....
some were more effected ...
than others.
And finally may cause excessive exhaustion, blank stares at the TV monitor.
And the need to snuggle up closely and just CRASH!
May also cause you to have the BEST Mothers Day ever and enormous fun with great friends and family!!!
Lulu crawled out of bed at 9:30 AM!!! this morning and said the light was hurting her eyes and she was really thirsty ... if that doesn't scream Cake-Pop-Hang-Over than I don't know what would :)
I have never enjoyed being spoiled so much, I think I could get used to it.
Just to think that Mothers Day is just a "little holiday" compared to birthdays, Christmas and anniversaries, I can't wait to see what Pat has in store for me next.
It will have to top yesterday ... obviously!
Sorry babe, but you just screwed yourself royally ;)
