We are supposed to be camping at DL Bliss in Tahoe right now BUT ... nothing is going the way it was planned this year.
I had a mid-summer-melt-down last night, I swear I did.
I signed the Ls up for camps to make up for the lost trip but now we'll be driving all over the place to go from one camp t the next, no time for beach dates or pool for the next three weeks :(
WHAT WAS I THINKING???
Then I went to Church CAST Camp and watched how Lulu's little buddy Evan and his brother fell into each others arms and kissed each other and said "I missed you" and then I really felt like a BIG looser-mom because all I hear right now is "I HATE YOU!" "you are NOT coming to my birthday!" and so on.
HELP was/is needed!!!
But WHAT to do???
Nice $ are HOPEFULLY a good way to encourage sisterly love ...
Everybody chose a color and made Nice $ to hand out.
Whenever somebody (sister) does something nice for you you can hand out a Nice $ which then can be traded in for 15 minutes extra play time, staying up longer, choosing a movie or if they want to put their niceness savings together they can earn a trip to Golf Land or Gilroy Gardens (since we now have a seasons pass :)
IF however mama catches you doing/saying something NOT nice you have to pull a job out of the GRUMPY folder and do that chore (like clean your sisters room).
L called her sister a "meany pants" and picked this chore this morning ...
Bohoooo ...
Let me tell you she was NOT happy about it!!!
hm ... she did a pretty good job, she wasn't happy about but she did.
That got me thinking (here comes the "evil mom in me" out) ... do I really want them to be nice or should I instigate some grumpiness ... I sure would have a nice and clean house :)
