OH CANADA our Home and Native Land .... Eh for Canada Day!
We celebrated by doing garden work and cleaning up the front yard (a LONG over-due project!!!).
I took L to Ikea to prettify our new outdoor sitting area but we could not find anything to " light" the space. We came home with 3 mosquito candles and some laundry hampers for the laundry room aka garage.
L wore her Canada shirt but I never even took a pic today ... thats something new. I usually look like a geeky tourist with my camera right handy while shopping at Walmart or washing the car.
Life doesn't get more exciting than that. My plan still is, one day when the Ls are in their teens, just started to "feel" their hormones and tell me that they hate me and I am the worst mother ever, to lock them in a room with a computer only and force them to read the entire blog over and over again. Just to show them how much fun we have very, single, ordinary, boring day, and that no matter where we are and what we do I always try to find something special in every moment we spend. God knows one day I will sit in my kitchen all by myself, both of the Ls will be off to school, and I wish I had 10 more kids to mother, spoil and bother all day long.
So not much to report on the vacation front today. Pat is off to fight the bad pucks in the world, defend his goal and drink some beers with the guys. I am not so sure which one takes longer ... my guess would be the beer drinking in most cases and the midnight burrito pig-outs at some hole-in-the-wall Tacoria that is still open at midnight ... yukkkkk!!! As L says: Boys are gross!!!
So long for today ... sorry for the somewhat boring post. I think I have a bloggers-blockage :)
